Human Feel on the road
Human Feel is about to hit the road for their first tour since 2007. Human Feel is comprised by Andrew D’Angelo (alto sax/bass clarinet), Chris Speed (tenor sax), Kurt Rosenwinkel(guitar) & Jim Black (drums) and they have performed together as a band since the late 80ties, albeit sometimes with years in between tours and releases. This tour is entitled “Experience the Experience” – also the name of their forthcoming album – and opens tonight at Le Poisson Rouge in NYC. Here are their upcoming tour dates:
June 24: Le Poisson Rouge, NYC
June 25: Regatta Bar, Cambridge, MA
June 26: Yoshi’s at Jack London Square, Oakland, CA
June 27: Seattle Art Museum/Earshot Jazz, Seattle, WA
June 29: Vancouver Jazz Festival, Canada
June 30: Kuumbwa Jazz Center, Santa Cruz, CA
July 2: Constellation, Chicago, IL
Human Feel has been quoted in press as containing “a mystical language from where all voyages begin”. Stylistically they are completely their own, but exists in a realm that straddles avant-garde, progressive rock and jazz.
Last time they recorded (“Galore” on Skirl Records) and toured was in 2007 so it doesn’t happen too often – so now’s the time to catch them! Human Feel will release a new album later this year in a collaboration between Skirl Records and The Loove. Please follow Human Feel on twitter @HumanFeelBand + on Facebook here. We hope to soon have a release date for the new album.
