    Hi Guys,

    I was wondering if you or Kurt are using/visualizing chord shapes when improvising? (Herb Ellis style) or at least practiced it years ago?

    I don't know about Herb Ellis or his method (any online resource for that one?) but I think that more or less every guitar player ends up seeing patterns, whether they like it or not. The difference between Kurt and me for example is the vividness, accuracy and speed at which each of us see different patterns over time...
