Interesting string dilemma

    Hey everybody!

I've been going through the string issue again, I put .012 flats but I find it too much on the bottom, and maybe not enough on top. My ideal set would be something like .014-.049/.052 at most, but I can't find any set like this, and the ones similar are very expensive.

I was thinking if I could put a .014 B string and .018 G string instead of my E and B strings, to achieve the desired gauge.

Someone tried something like this? My actual concern is if the string would tune to pitch without breaking. I know the guitar will hold up the tension, because I'll be lowering the low strings gauge.

    Thanks!
