    AH, the metronome - my best friend.
    i video tape myself playing at times (good for not only checking out technique but time!) and i've found i'm often not playing with the met., even if i thought i was!

    Me too! You're preaching to the choir on that one!! I found a great metronome that has all kinds of beat, rhythm, and time signature variables, and it is invaluable!!
