I never placed much importance on decades and their significance but I know that this one has been the most memorable in my lifetime. I think 9/11 has affected all of us in profound ways and will continue to do so for the duration. In the 2000s, I celebrated getting married and having two sons as well as mourning the loss of very close family members so the music that I listen to and how I listen to it commemorate my experiences more than ever.
My Top 10 of the 2000s:
SCOTT AMENDOLA BAND: Believe
NELS CLINE SINGERS: Draw Breath
eighth blackbird: thirteen ways
PAUL GALBRAITH: In Every Lake The Moon Shines Full
DAVE HOLLAND QUINTET: Not For Nothin'
CHARLIE HUNTER QUINTET: Right Now Move
BEN MONDER: Oceana
RADIOHEAD: Kid A
KURT ROSENWINKEL: The Next Step
TUCK & PATTI: Taking The Long Way Home
curious to see what others have to share
always looking forward to seeing what others have to offer
